RG&E to Hold HEAP Info Session in Spanish at Ibero
Session will help customers enroll in HEAP, provide information on other payment assistance programs
ROCHESTER, N.Y — November 12, 2024 — Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) is offering an informational session in Spanish at Ibero on November 13 to help customers apply for payment assistance, including the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
The session is designed to help customers understand the full range of assistance RG&E offers that can help them manage their monthly energy costs as we approach the winter heating season. Customer service representatives and advocates will be available to answer questions and address account needs. Ibero representatives will also help customers enroll in HEAP. Details on the upcoming events are below:

HEAP is a federal grant program that helps eligible households pay for energy costs and weatherization. Enrollment for the program opened on November 1. Benefits are available through March 17, 2025, or until funds are exhausted, whichever comes first. Customers enrolled in HEAP are automatically enrolled in the Company’s Energy Assistance Program (EAP). EAP provides customers with an automatic monthly bill credit.
