Roc’n Ritmo Returns Downtown With New Date, Headliner Caña Brava

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 27, 2025) – Mayor Malik D. Evans and the City of Rochester’s Hispanic Heritage Committee today announced the return of Roc’n Ritmo, a high-energy celebration of Latin music and culture.

The event will take place from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 353 Court St.

Headlining this year’s festivities is the legendary Puerto Rican tropical music group Caña Brava, known for their energetic performances and dynamic blend of merengue and bachata. The group has performed at iconic venues including Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. Franco “El Matatan” will return as the event’s host.

“I listened to some Caña Brava and I can say that it does not disappoint,” Evans said. “This music is festive and it will make you move.”

The event will also feature local performers, food vendors and interactive activities for all ages.

General admission is free. A VIP experience is available for $25 and can be purchased online at www.cityofrochester.gov/rocnritmo.

Roc’n Ritmo is a signature event of the City of Rochester’s Hispanic Heritage Committee, dedicated to honoring Latin culture through music, dance and community engagement. The event brings together internationally renowned artists, local talent and a diverse audience to celebrate Hispanic heritage in downtown Rochester.
